After years of waiting, 5G has finally become a reality. 5G, in comparison with previous generations of mobile networks, provides much larger bandwidth, much lower latency, much higher reliability, and many more connections. However, there are a series of challenges that need to be addressed before we can fully enjoy the benefits. One of the main challenges is the signal attenuation of high-frequency signals. This means that the signal propagation is much shorter compared to the previous cellular networks. Small cells are proposed to address this big challenge. Creating an ultra-dense network by deploying more small cells plays a key role in 5G as it allows to complement the macro network and therefore boosts data capacity. Furthermore, with 5G small cells deployment, we expect the digital transformation will also be accelerated.

In this webinar, Dr Yu-Han Chang, Technology Analyst at IDTechEx, will discuss the following four key aspects of 5G small cells to help you understand 5G small cells and the massive potential market behind it:
5G small cells overview - this includes players analysis, product benchmark, technologies trend, technology benchmark
How digital transformation of our society will be realized by 5G small cells
How 5G small cells are compared to other wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi 6
5G small cell market and the future outlook
